Grammar

  • 名詞 + ’s(單數所有格)

    This is Amy’s book.(這是 Amy 的書。)

    That is my brother’s tie.(那是我哥哥的領帶。)

    These are the students’ notebooks.(這些是學生們的筆記本。)

    This book is mine.(這本書是我的。)

    hose sneakers are hers.(那些運動鞋是她的。)

Whose:

  • Whose + 名詞 + is this/that?

    Whose notebook is this?(這本筆記本是誰的?)

    Whose watch is that?(那隻手錶是誰的?)

  • Whose + 複數名詞 + are these/those?

    Whose sneakers are these?(這些運動鞋是誰的?)

    Whose crayons are those?(那些蠟筆是誰的?)

    It’s mine.(是我的。)

    They’re hers.(是她的。)

    That’s Ben’s.(那是 Ben 的。)

Our school is having a flea market. Look at these items! This raincoat is mine. It’s still new. I’m selling it for $300. I also have some sneakers. They are $500 per pair.

Tom loves collecting watches. He has many old watches. Those watches are his. Each one is $250. He also has some cool scarves. Each scarf is $150.

Jenny is good at drawing. She has many crayons and markers. Those markers are hers. A box of markers is $200, and crayons are $100 per set.

Come to our flea market! You may find something you like!

Later, Lily finds a pencil sharpener in her bag, but it’s not hers.

“Whose pencil sharpener is this?” she asks.

“Oh! That’s mine. Thanks!” John answers.
