認識感嘆句 (Exclamations)

「哇！好美啊！」、「真是個好主意！」呢？這時候，我們就需要用「感嘆句」(Exclamations) 來表達強烈的情緒啦！感嘆句的句尾通常會加上驚嘆號 (!)。

英文感嘆句主要有兩種常見的結構，分別由 How 和 What 開頭。

一、用 How 開頭的感嘆句 (Exclamations starting with How)

這種感嘆句是用來強調「形容詞」或「副詞」的程度，表示「多麼地...啊！」

句型結構：How + 形容詞 / 副詞 + (主詞 + 動詞)!

後面的「主詞 + 動詞」常常可以省略，尤其是口語中。

• 強調形容詞：
  例：How beautiful the flower is! = How beautiful! (這花多美啊！)
  例：How tall he is! = How tall! (他多高啊！)
  例：How nice of you! (你人真好！) (of you 是補充說明)
• 強調副詞：
  例：How fast she runs! = How fast! (她跑得多快啊！)
  例：How well he sings! = How well! (他唱得多好啊！)

二、用 What 開頭的感嘆句 (Exclamations starting with What)

這種感嘆句是用來強調「名詞」，表示「真是個...的東西/人啊！」、「多麼...的事物啊！」

句型結構：What + (a/an) + (形容詞) + 名詞 + (主詞 + 動詞)!

後面的「主詞 + 動詞」也常常可以省略。

重點！a/an 的使用：

• 如果名詞是**單數可數名詞** → 要加 a 或 an。
• 如果名詞是**複數可數名詞**或**不可數名詞** → **不**加 a/an。

例句：

• 接單數可數名詞 (加 a/an)：
  例：What a beautiful day (it is)! (真是個好天氣啊！)
  例：What an interesting story (that is)! (真是個有趣的故事啊！)
  例：What a surprise! (真是個驚喜！) (省略了形容詞)
• 接複數可數名詞 (不加 a/an)：
  例：What beautiful flowers (they are)! (多麼美麗的花啊！)
  例：What nice people (they are)! (多好的人啊！)
• 接不可數名詞 (不加 a/an)：
  例：What beautiful weather (we have)! (多麼好的天氣啊！)

感嘆句小總結：
