chase v. [tʃes] 追逐;追趕

To run after someone or something in order to catch them. (追趕某人或某物以抓住他們。)

To let something fall. / A small amount of liquid. (讓某物落下。/ 小量的液體。)

pull v. [pʊl] 拉 n. 拉力

To move something towards yourself. (將某物朝自己移動。)

watch v. [wɑtʃ] 觀看 (動態的)

hear v. [hɪr] 聽見 (過去式: heard [hɝd])

To perceive sound with your ears. (用耳朵感知聲音。)

The cake tastes sweet. (這蛋糕嚐起來很甜。)

feel v. [fil] 感覺;觸摸 (過去式: felt [fɛlt])

To experience an emotion or sensation; to touch something. (體驗一種情緒或感覺;觸摸某物。)

How do you feel today? (你今天感覺怎麼樣?)

Feel this fabric; it's very soft. (摸摸看這布料;它很柔軟。)

touch v./n. [tʌtʃ] 觸摸;碰觸

To put your hand or finger on something. / The sense of feeling. (把手或手指放在某物上。/ 觸覺。)

Please don't touch the exhibits. (請勿觸摸展品。)

notice v./n. [ˋnotɪs] 注意到;通知

To see or become conscious of something or someone. / A written or printed announcement. (看見或意識到某事或某人。/ 書面或印刷的通知。)

Did you notice him leave? (你注意到他離開了嗎?)

Read the notice on the board. (讀一下佈告欄上的通知。)

詞彙小叮嚀:

  • 移動動詞描述了各種「動」的方式,注意它們的細微差別 (如 go vs come, pull vs push)。
  • 感官動詞中,`look at` 和 `listen to` 強調「主動去看/聽」,而 `see` 和 `hear` 強調「無意中看到/聽到」。`watch` 則是「持續觀看」。
  • `smell`, `taste`, `feel`, `look`, `sound` 也可以當連綴動詞,後面接形容詞。
