Take, spend, cost 的用法

中文說「花時間」或「花錢」，好像很簡單，但在英文裡，根據主詞和花費的是時間還是金錢，可能會用到不同的動詞喔！最常見的就是 take, spend, 和 cost。它們的意思有點像，但用法不一樣，很容易搞混。今天就讓我們來一次弄清楚它們的區別吧！

一、花費「時間」：It takes... (Usage of "take" for Time)

Take 主要用來表示做某件事情**需要花費多少「時間」**。

重點句型：

• It takes/took + (人) + 時間 + to + 原形動詞...
  這是最常見的句型，用虛主詞 It 開頭。
  例：It takes me 30 minutes to walk to school every day. (我每天走路去學校要花 30 分鐘。)
  例：It took them two hours to finish the painting. (他們花了兩小時完成那幅畫。)
  例：How long does it take to get to the airport? (去機場要花多久時間？)
• 主詞 (事情/活動) + takes/took + 時間.
  例：The meeting took three hours. (會議開了三小時。)
  例：Doing homework usually takes me an hour. (做功課通常要花我一小時。)

二、花費「時間/金錢」(人為主詞)：spend (Usage of "spend" for Time/Money)

Spend 強調**「某人」**主動地花費時間或金錢在某件事物上。

重點句型：

• 花時間：主詞(人) + spend/spent + 時間 + V-ing / on + 名詞.
  例：I spent three hours watching TV last night. (我昨晚花了三小時看電視。)
  例：She spends a lot of time on her cellphone. (她花很多時間在手機上。)
• 花金錢：主詞(人) + spend/spent + 金錢 + on + 名詞.

Cost 主要用來表示某樣東西**價值多少錢**，或者讓某人付出了多少代價（通常是金錢）。

重點句型：

• 主詞(物/事) + cost/cost + (人) + 金錢.
  (注意：cost 的過去式和過去分詞通常也是 cost，除非指付出代價時可能用 costed)
  例：This book cost $300. (這本書價值 300 元。)
  例：The concert ticket cost me $2000. (這張演唱會門票花了我 2000 元。)
  例：How much does this computer cost? (這台電腦多少錢？)

記憶點： Cost 的主詞通常是「物」或「事」，表示價格。
